A well equipped hospital specializing in pediatric and neonatal surgery owned by Dr. Bhattacharajee is conveniently located in Ellisbridge area of Ahmedabad.

This nine-bedded hospital has all facilities available for specialized surgical treatment of newborns, infants and children.
Dr. Bhattacharjee has large series of esophageal atresia with or without fistula, Anorectal Malformations and Hirschsprung’s disease (congenital aganglionosis) with very satisfactory outcome comparable to those from reputed center. He has a long experience of surgical management of extensive tumors and cysts from chest, abdomen or any other sites of the body with gratifying results. He takes keen interest in dealing with plastic surgical problems like cleft lip and palate, Hypospadias and epispadias, syndactaly and polydactly etc, also with very appreciable outcome. His results of surgery of portal hypertension in children, esophageal reconstruction and replacement surgeries and other thoracic surgeries are commendable.

Apart from all general pediatric surgical procedures, he is having a vast experience of treating neurosurgical problems like spinabifida, meningocele, hydrocephalus and craniosynostosis. He treats pediatric urological problems like undescended testis, bladder extrophy, ambiguous genitalia (intersex), PUValves, VU reflux, PUJ obstruction and hydronephrosis etc. with good results; however, every individual patient after proper investigations and planning is being discussed with the parents regarding the final outcome of the treatment.

There were certain operations performed in newborns and children by him which happened for the first time in Gujarat and were well appreciated by the media and section of the press.

There were certain new operations innovated by him and his team; the work was well appreciated and accepted worldwide and got published in international journals namely, Journal of Pediatric Surgery & Pediatric Surgery International.
